Notices for Installation of SFP Optical Transceivers

SFP optical transceivers is packaged in hot-swap small package. At present, the highest speed can reach 10G, and there are many LC interfaces. SFP is abbreviated as SmallForm-factorPluggable, which can be simply understood as an upgraded version of GBIC. The volume of 1000base SFP transceivers is half that of GBIC optical transceivers, and more than twice the number of ports can be configured on the same panel.

1. Turn up the pulling ring of SFP optical transceivers vertically, clamp the top buckle, and gently push the SFP optical transceivers side into the SFP slot by hand until the SFP Transceivers is in close contact with the slot (you can feel the elastic pieces at the top and bottom of the SFP optical transceivers clamping the SFP slot).

2. Wear anti-static wrist when installing/pulling out SFP optical transceivers.

3. In the absence of good grounding measures, the SFP optical transceivers should not be inserted directly, which may lead to electrostatic breakdown of electronic components in SFP optical transceivers or SFP slot, resulting in device damage.

4. Pull the pull ring of SFP optical transceivers to the horizontal position to remove the fixed relationship between the shrapnel and the SFP slot, forcibly pull out the SFP optical transceivers, and damage the shrapnel or the snap in the slot.
